Listener Noise Audit
Find the queries burning credits on junk, and fix them properly.
What this skill does
This skill scores every saved query for noise and estimated monthly credit cost, then reads an actual sample of the mentions each flagged query returned to work out why it is misfiring.
It writes a corrected query for each problem and tests it live before showing it to you, so you see real posts the rewrite would now catch rather than a guess.
Nothing is applied until you approve it, item by item.
What you end up with
- Every query scored for noise and estimated monthly credit cost
- The actual reason each bad query misfires, from reading the mentions
- A rewritten query per problem, validated live before you see it
- Sample posts showing what each rewrite would catch
- Nothing changed until you approve it line by line
Connect to SnitchFeed MCP
Step 1 is to connect your Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc to SnitchFeed.

The prompt
Paste this into any assistant with the SnitchFeed MCP connected. Replace anything in square brackets first. It is written to be edited, so change what does not fit.
Listener Noise Audit
You have access to the SnitchFeed MCP. Run a noise and cost audit on my listeners. 1. Call snitchfeed_get_org_context so you know what we sell and who we sell to. You need this to judge whether a mention is genuinely off-target or just unfamiliar to you. 2. Call snitchfeed_audit_query_noise with lookback_days 30, sorted by noise_score. This gives you, per query, an estimated monthly credit cost, how many polls came back empty, the fit score distribution, and a suggested action of keep, narrow, increase_interval or kill. 3. For every query flagged "narrow" or "kill", call snitchfeed_list_mentions scoped to that listener and read an actual sample. Do not skip this. Tell me the real reason it is misfiring, in plain language. Common causes: the keyword has a second meaning, a different company uses a similar name, it is catching job posts, or it is catching people promoting rather than asking. 4. Call snitchfeed_get_query_grammar before you write anything, so you use valid syntax and stay within the term limits. 5. Write a corrected query for each problem. Prefer adding exclusions and qualifiers over deleting the query, unless the query is genuinely unsalvageable, in which case say so. 6. Test every rewrite before you propose it, using snitchfeed_test_reddit_query, snitchfeed_test_twitter_query, snitchfeed_test_linkedin_query or snitchfeed_test_hackernews_query. Testing is free, so iterate until it looks right. Show me two or three sample posts each rewrite would now catch. 7. Give me a table: query, listener, current estimated monthly credits, noise score, suggested action, the rewritten query, and one line on what changed and why. 8. Separately, list any query flagged "increase_interval" with the current interval and what you would change it to. 9. For any query flagged "kill" that we agree is unsalvageable, do not delete it yet. List it separately, and only after I explicitly confirm that specific query by name should be deleted, use snitchfeed_delete_listener_query. This is permanent and cannot be undone, so never call it speculatively. Do not apply anything yet. Once I approve item by item, use snitchfeed_update_listener_query for the rewrites, snitchfeed_update_listener for the interval changes, and snitchfeed_delete_listener_query for anything I confirm killing.
How it works
What the agent does once you paste the prompt in, step by step.
- 01
Score every search you have saved
Each one gets a noise score, an estimated monthly credit cost, and a suggested fix.
snitchfeed_audit_query_noise - 02
Work out what actually went wrong
It reads real results from the bad ones and explains in plain terms why they are misfiring.
snitchfeed_list_mentions - 03
Write a replacement
A corrected search that keeps what you want and cuts out what you do not.
snitchfeed_get_query_grammar - 04
Test it before you even see it
Every rewrite is trialled live, so you get real examples of what it would now catch. Testing costs nothing.

You approve, then it applies
Nothing changes until you sign off on each one, item by item. A query flagged for deletion needs its own explicit yes, separate from the rewrites and interval changes, since that one cannot be undone.

What it hands back
- A table of every query with noise score, suggested action and estimated monthly credit cost
- A plain-language diagnosis per misfiring query
- A tested rewrite with sample posts it would now catch
- A separate list of queries that should just poll less often
- A separate list of queries recommended for deletion, none removed until you confirm each one by name
- No changes applied until you approve each one
Make it yours
Paste any of these as a follow-up after the first run, or fold them into the prompt before you start.
- One listener only: pass a listener_id to scope the audit.
- Cost first: ask for it sorted by credit cost rather than noise score, to find the expensive queries.
- Longer view: raise lookback_days to 90 for a seasonal setup.
- Reallocation: ask what you could monitor with the credits the fixes free up.
- Monthly: run it on the first of the month and ask for a comparison against last month's audit.

I legit booked 5 meetings with SnitchFeed this week. And it's only Monday...
Does what it says on the tin. Quite well.
Every day I open my laptop, SnitchFeed is the first thing I log into.
Immediately found 5 perfect posts that I replied to on X & LinkedIn. Wasn't expecting that!
The ability to use AI sentiment scoring and get insights on data is incredibly useful. Very hard to find at this price point!
Super easy setup and UI. Actually delivers on what it promises to do.
