SnitchFeed vs ForumScout

Verified against ForumScout's own site, September 2026

ForumScout is cheaper than us, watches more sources than us, and keeps data longer at every tier. If you are comparing spec sheets, theirs wins and we would rather you heard that here than found it out yourself. The one place we clearly beat them is how quickly a mention reaches you, and whether that matters depends entirely on what you use monitoring for.

Who each tool is actually for

ForumScout is for the widest net at the lowest price

Reddit, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Bluesky, Hacker News, Facebook, forums and news, across what they describe as 10M+ sources, from $19 a month with unlimited leads and unlimited seats. Deliberately anti-dashboard: leads are delivered to you with an AI explanation attached.

SnitchFeed is for teams who need to respond quickly

Five platforms rather than ten, with real-time Reddit and Bluesky ingestion and hourly refresh on X, LinkedIn and Hacker News, on every tier. AI relevance and intent scoring, routed into Slack and Discord, for teams where a mention is something to act on rather than read later.

SnitchFeed or ForumScout?

Choose ForumScout if

Teams who want the widest possible source coverage cheaply, and who review mentions rather than react to them.

  • You need YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, forums or news coverage
  • Budget is the binding constraint
  • Everyone on the team needs a seat
  • You want up to 12 months of history
  • Checking in every few hours is fast enough for your work

Choose SnitchFeed if

Teams who act on mentions quickly, especially on Reddit, and want intent scoring rather than volume.

  • You need to know within minutes, not within six hours
  • Reddit is a channel you actively work
  • You want mentions scored for intent and routed into Slack
  • You do not want automated replies posted under your brand
  • Five platforms covers where your buyers actually are

What it costs

ForumScout gives two months free on annual billing, so their annual-equivalent is shown alongside ours. On price they win at every tier, and the table is laid out so you can see that rather than having to work it out.

Their unlimited leads and our credits are not the same promise

ForumScout advertises unlimited leads on every tier, which is a cleaner promise than ours and we are not going to pretend otherwise. SnitchFeed meters credits, which pay for polling and AI work rather than counting delivered mentions: a LinkedIn poll costs 4 credits, an X poll 2, AI scoring half a credit per mention, and Reddit and Bluesky cost nothing at all because they run on continuous ingestion rather than per-keyword polling. Whether that ceiling ever binds depends on how many keywords you watch and how often. The honest way to find out is a trial with your real terms in it.

Where ForumScout is genuinely better

All of this is true. If any of it is a requirement rather than a preference, buy ForumScout.

  • Everything we monitor, plus five more

Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Hacker News are all covered, and they add YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, forums and news on top. There is no source we have that they lack. If breadth is what you are buying, buy theirs.

  • Cheaper at every tier

$19 against our $59, $49 against our $119, and their top tier at $129 carries 30 keywords with 12 months of history. On price alone this is not close.

  • Unlimited seats, from the $19 plan

Our Starter is one seat and Pro is five. If your whole team needs a login, their entry tier does something ours cannot do at any price below Pro.

  • Longer retention, tier for tier

3, 6 and 12 months against our 3 and 6. If you need to look back a year, they can and we cannot.

Where SnitchFeed beats ForumScout

The cases where we would tell you to pick us.

  • Their fastest plan is our slowest plan

ForumScout scans every 6 hours on Starter, every 3 hours on Pro, and hourly on Ultra at $129. SnitchFeed refreshes hourly on X, LinkedIn and Hacker News and ingests Reddit and Bluesky in real time, on every tier including the $59 Starter. Put plainly: the cadence you pay $129 for there is the cadence you get for $59 here, and nothing they sell is real-time.

  • Speed is the whole point for some jobs

If you monitor to answer a support question, catch a complaint before it spreads, or reply while a thread is still active, a six-hour gap is the difference between being early and being irrelevant. If you monitor to review mentions once a week, none of this matters and you should buy the cheaper tool.

  • We do not post on your behalf

ForumScout ships auto-replies on every tier. We do not automate posting on your brand's behalf. Automated replies and DMs put brand perception at serious risk and run against platform terms of service, and the account that gets actioned is yours, not the vendor's. If you would rather nothing went out under your brand automatically, that is a real difference between the two products.

Where these figures come from

ForumScout figures were checked against their own site in September 2026. Pricing changes; if you spot something out of date here, tell us and we will fix it.

How much does ForumScout cost?
Starter is $19/month for 10 keywords, Pro is $49 for 20, and Ultra is $129 for 30. Annual billing gives two months free. All tiers include unlimited leads and unlimited seats. Verified September 2026.
Is ForumScout cheaper than SnitchFeed?
Yes, at every tier. $19 against $59 at entry, $49 against $119 at the next tier up. They also include unlimited seats where our Starter allows one.
How often does each tool check for new mentions?
ForumScout scans every 6 hours on Starter, every 3 hours on Pro and hourly on Ultra at $129. SnitchFeed ingests Reddit and Bluesky in real time and refreshes X, LinkedIn and Hacker News hourly, on every tier including Starter.
What does ForumScout monitor that SnitchFeed does not?
YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, general forums and news sites. Their platform list is a superset of ours: everything we cover, they cover too.
Which should I choose?
If you need breadth, the lowest price, or seats for a whole team, choose ForumScout. If you need to know quickly, especially on Reddit, and you want intent scoring rather than volume, choose SnitchFeed. Both are defensible; they answer different questions.
