Boolean Search
Keyword alerts find everything. Boolean search finds buyers.
Most of your keyword feed is job listings, promotional posts, and noise. Boolean search lets you describe exactly the person you're looking for โ so only conversations worth entering reach your feed.
One dashboard. Every conversation that matters. No more hopping between platforms. Quality product & great founder ๐ค
The problem
A single keyword captures everything. Most of it is irrelevant.
Monitor "CRM" and your feed fills with job listings, vendor blog posts, certification guides, and conference mentions โ before a single buyer surfaces. Boolean queries let you define the intersection of terms that separates signal from noise.

3 signals. Nothing else.
Query operators
Three operators. Infinite precision.
AND, OR, and NOT combine with parentheses to express any targeting logic you need. Quoted phrases are syntax, not an operator โ they pin a match to an exact word sequence.
All terms must appear. Use this to add required context.
Example
CRM AND "switching from"Fewer results, higher signal
At least one term must match. Use this to catch synonyms.
Example
Salesforce OR HubSpot OR PipedriveMore results, wider coverage
Term must not appear anywhere in the post. Use this to eliminate entire noise categories.
Example
CRM NOT (hiring OR tutorial)Removes noise categories entirely
How it works
Build a query in five steps
Every listener in SnitchFeed has a query. Here is how to go from a blank field to a query that reliably surfaces the conversations you care about.
- 01
Start with your primary keyword
The single word or phrase most buyers use for your category: product name, the problem, or the category itself. This is your anchor โ everything else qualifies it.
- 02
AND the context you need
AND forces the post to include a buying signal alongside your keyword. Wrap multiple acceptable signals in parentheses using OR: CRM AND (switching OR alternatives OR recommendations). Up to 5 OR terms inside the group.
- 03
NOT to remove noise โ group exclusions in parentheses
Group all your exclusions after NOT: CRM AND (switching OR alternatives) NOT (hiring OR tutorial OR certification). One NOT group removes entire content categories at once.
- 04
Use quoted phrases for exact matching
Wrap multi-word terms in quotes to match them exactly: "project management" AND ("wish it had" OR "would love") NOT (job OR hiring). Unquoted terms match any case.
- 05
Validate and save
The editor checks syntax in real time and flags errors before you save. Once live, your query runs across Reddit, LinkedIn, X, and Bluesky simultaneously.
Use cases
Three queries teams run on day one
Catch every tool-switching conversation
- Every name buyers use for your category is covered in a single listener
- Only posts where someone is actively deciding show up โ no passive mentions
- Job posts, tutorials, and certifications are gone before they reach your feed
One query catches conversations you'd never think to monitor.
Query
CRM AND (alternatives OR switching OR recommendations) NOT (hiring OR tutorial OR certification)Monitor competitors without the fan posts
- You see frustrated customers, not fans or official announcements
- Job listings, press releases, and career pages are automatically filtered out
- What's left is real purchase intent: people actively looking to switch
Only genuine customer pain, no brand noise.
Query
Salesforce AND (expensive OR overpriced OR "too complex" OR alternatives) NOT (job OR careers OR official)Collect feature requests across the category
- Every way buyers describe your product area is captured automatically
- Only posts with actual feedback signals come through โ no general chatter
- Multiple intent clusters are combined into a single always-on listener
Organic product feedback across every platform, automatically.
Query
"project management" AND (feature OR "would love" OR "wish it had") NOT (job OR hiring OR tutorial)Your first query runs in under 2 minutes.
Paste a boolean expression or build one in the visual editor. SnitchFeed validates it before it goes live.
