❓ Not Getting Mentions
Not getting any alerts? Here's what you can do
If you're not seeing any mentions, or fewer than expected, it's almost always due to how your keywords are set up. Here are some common things to check:
1. You have set up your keywords incorrectly
Most of the problems arise here. Please read this list carefully to see if any of these apply to you:
- You have case sensitivity turned on. This will only match keywords in the exact same case.
- You have "Whole Word" turned on. This will only match keywords if they're a whole word.
- You have "Only from certain authors" turned on. This will only match keywords from certain authors.
- You are separating your keywords with commas.
- Hit enter after each keyword to separate them.
- You are using quotation marks around your keywords.
- Remove the quotation marks.
- You are using special characters in your keywords.
- Remove the special characters.
2. Your feed is sorted by "Most Relevant"
This might hide newer mentions. Try switching to "Recent" in the top-right corner to see the latest posts.
3. You've run out of monthly mentions
If you've hit your limit, new results won't show up. Please contact us if you're in the beta program and need more mentions.
4. There's a typo in your keyword
Double-check your spelling. Don't use quotes or extra symbols around your keyword.
5. Case sensitivity is turned on
If this is on, you'll only get results that match the exact capitalization. Turn it off to catch everything.
6. Your keyword is too broad
Very broad keywords can hit API limits. Try narrowing them down to be more specific — it usually gives better results.
