# GTM tools: LinkedIn post and profile scrapers (https://snitchfeed.com/docs/features/gtm-tools)

**GTM Tools** pull public LinkedIn activity for go-to-market research. Fetch a person's latest posts or comments, or collect the profiles of people who comment on or react to a post your buyers care about, then download the results as a CSV.

Open **GTM Tools** in the sidebar, or go to `app.snitchfeed.com/tools`. Results from these tools are not saved as mentions and do not appear in your feeds.

## The four tools [#the-four-tools]

| Tool | Input | What you get | Limit per run | Cost |
| ----------------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------ | ------------------------------ |
| **LinkedIn Profile Posts** | **LinkedIn profile URL** and **Pages** | The latest public posts from a person's profile | 1 to 10 pages (default 1) | 10 credits per page fetched |
| **LinkedIn Profile Comments** | **LinkedIn profile URL** and **Pages** | Comments this person wrote on other people's posts | 1 to 10 pages (default 1) | 10 credits per page fetched |
| **LinkedIn Comments Scraper** | **LinkedIn post URL** and **Comments** | Commenters' profiles and their comment text | 100 to 1,000 comments (default 100) | 1 credit per comment returned |
| **LinkedIn Post Reactions Scraper** | **LinkedIn post URL** and **Reactions** | Profiles of the people who reacted | 100 to 1,000 reactions (default 100) | 1 credit per reaction returned |

The profile tools accept person profiles only (`linkedin.com/in/...`), not company pages. One page is the latest batch of activity, about 10 to 20 posts or comments. **LinkedIn Profile Comments** lists comments the person wrote, not comments on their own posts. To get comments on a specific post, use **LinkedIn Comments Scraper**.

## How credits are charged [#how-credits-are-charged]

Each tool shows **Max for this run** before you start. That is the most the run can cost:

* **Profile tools**: pages requested × 10. You pay for the pages actually fetched, including an empty first page.
* **Scrapers**: the number you entered × 1. You pay only for the comments or reactions actually returned. Asking for 500 comments on a post that has 120 costs 120 credits.

You need at least the maximum available before a run starts. If you don't have it, the run is refused with "You need at least ... credits available." If a run fails, the reserved credits are returned. See [Credits and usage](/docs/credits).

## Run a tool [#run-a-tool]

<Steps>
  <Step>
    ### Pick a tool [#pick-a-tool]

    Open **GTM Tools** and click the tool you need.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Paste the URL and set the amount [#paste-the-url-and-set-the-amount]

    Paste the LinkedIn profile or post URL, and set **Pages**, **Comments** or **Reactions**. Check **Max for this run**.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Fetch [#fetch]

    Click **Fetch posts**, **Fetch comments** or **Fetch reactions**. The job is queued and can take a little while on busy profiles or popular posts. Results appear on the page when it finishes.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    ### Download the CSV [#download-the-csv]

    Every run is saved to the **Past runs** tab, with a **Download CSV** button for each run.
  </Step>
</Steps>

  The tools read public LinkedIn content. Results depend on what LinkedIn shows
  publicly for that profile or post.

## Use the tools from MCP, the API or Snitch AI [#use-the-tools-from-mcp-the-api-or-snitch-ai]

The same jobs, at the same credit costs, are available outside the app:

| Tool | MCP tool | REST API endpoint |
| ------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| LinkedIn Profile Posts          | `snitchfeed_get_linkedin_profile_posts`      | `POST /v1/data/linkedin/person/posts`    |
| LinkedIn Profile Comments       | `snitchfeed_get_linkedin_profile_comments`   | `POST /v1/data/linkedin/person/comments` |
| LinkedIn Comments Scraper       | `snitchfeed_extract_linkedin_post_comments`  | `POST /v1/data/linkedin/posts/comments`  |
| LinkedIn Post Reactions Scraper | `snitchfeed_extract_linkedin_post_reactions` | `POST /v1/data/linkedin/posts/reactions` |

Through MCP, `snitchfeed_list_linkedin_comments_scrapes` and `snitchfeed_list_linkedin_reactions_scrapes` list past scraper runs with their CSV download links. [Snitch AI](/docs/features/snitch-ai) can run all four tools from chat.

See [MCP tools](/docs/mcp/tools) and the [SnitchFeed API](/docs/api/introduction) for parameters.
