# Connect SnitchFeed to Claude Code (MCP setup) (https://snitchfeed.com/docs/ai/claude-code)

Connect SnitchFeed to Claude Code and you can pull mentions, check listeners and build reports without leaving your terminal. Claude Code talks to SnitchFeed through the [SnitchFeed MCP server](/docs/mcp).

## Before you start [#before-you-start]

* A SnitchFeed account.
* Claude Code installed.

## Add SnitchFeed to Claude Code [#add-snitchfeed-to-claude-code]

<Steps>
  <Step>
    Run this command in your terminal:

    ```bash
    claude mcp add SnitchFeed --transport http https://api.snitchfeed.com/mcp
    ```

    This adds SnitchFeed for every project. To add it to the current project only, add `--scope project`.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Start Claude Code. The first time it uses SnitchFeed, your browser opens a SnitchFeed sign-in page.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Sign in and grant access. Claude Code stores the connection and reconnects on its own.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Check that it works [#check-that-it-works]

Ask Claude Code: "How many keywords am I using in SnitchFeed?" It should answer with your keyword, listener and credit usage.

In SnitchFeed, **Integrations → MCP** lists Claude Code under **Connected agents**. Click **Disconnect** there to remove its access.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

| ------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| SnitchFeed tools don't show up | Restart Claude Code. It loads the tool list when it connects. |
| Claude Code asks you to sign in again | Sign-ins last 30 days. Remove the server and add it again. |
| A tool returns a plan error | That tool needs a feature your plan doesn't include. The error links to your billing page. |
